About
On June 17, 1957, the New Mount Bethel Baptist Church
was founded under the leadership of the late REv. Medrick M. Washington and Sis. Rose Se. Washington, his wife. The church's purpose fias been to serve as a religious, charitable, missionary and educational institution. This church was erected to cultivate and practice the Christian religion in accordance
with the Holy scriptures.
Many members who contributed to the organization of this great church are deceased. Posthumously, we still have great appreciation for the efforts of the late Rev. Medrick M. Washington, Sis. Marguerite Williams, Sis. Corine Evans, and Sis.
Ogritta Jofinson. On August 10, 1964, New Mount Bethel B.C. was chartered.

Bro. Alphonse Robinson In June 1985, Rev. Washington led the congregation from the original church building at 3143 Albany Street to a beautiful and
spacious edifice at 1442 Thirty-First Street, The following is a list of our four beloved pastors:
-Rev. Medrick M. Washington, our beloved founding pastor who served from the church's establishment until his death in February 1989.
-In March 1989, Rev. Robert Martin, Sr. became the second pastor and served until March 1994. -in March 1994, Rev. Reynaldo King became the third pastor and
served until March 1998.
-In July 1998, Rev. Frederick Matthews became the fourth and current pastor of this church.
Mission Statement
In keeping with the mandate of the Great Commission, as uttered by the Lord Jesus Christ in Matthew 28: 18-20, the New Mount Bethel Baptist Church sets forth as its mission to exalt the Savior, to edify saints, to evangelize sinners, and to elevate society.
Vision Statement
The New Mount Bethel Baptist Church of Kenner, Louisiana Will reach and reproduce, within the Lincoln Manor area and its surrounding communities, a people, inspired and equipped with a passion for the truth of Christ and His compassion for others, who will be enablers of change for the disenfranchised
